Three Generations of Electrical Excellence

At I.M. Electric, Inc. electrical work isn’t just a profession — it’s a family tradition that spans three generations.

Owner Greg Mandor with his son Jordan.

For Greg Mandor, the electrical trade has been a part of his life from the very beginning. He grew up surrounded by the tools, knowledge, and values that come with working in the electrical field. His grandfather, Milton Mandor, began the family’s electrical legacy when he founded Mandor Electric in New York City in the 1950s.

Greg’s father, Ira Mandor, continued that tradition in the 1980s when he built I.M. Electric in New York City. Growing up, Greg had a firsthand look at what it meant to build a business from the ground up — and, more importantly, what it meant to take pride in your work, stand behind your craftsmanship, and earn the trust of your customers.

Electrical work became more than something Greg watched his family do. It became a passion and a way of life.

From Growing Up in the Trade to Building His Own Company

As a young man, Greg spent years learning the electrical trade and gaining experience from the generations before him. He learned that being a great electrician requires more than technical knowledge. It requires attention to detail, problem-solving, honesty, reliability, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Over time, Greg knew he wanted to build something of his own while carrying forward the lessons and traditions he had learned from his grandfather and father.

In 2005, Greg brought the I.M. Electric name to South Florida and opened his own I.M. Electric, Inc. in West Palm Beach, Florida.

What started as a family tradition in New York continued in a new generation and a new home in Florida.

A Family Legacy Built on Trust

Today, I.M. Electric, Inc. remains grounded in the same principles that have guided the Mandor family for generations: quality workmanship, personal service, honesty, and doing the job right.

From Milton Mandor starting the family business in the 1950s, to Ira Mandor building I.M. Electric in New York City in the 1980s, to Greg Mandor establishing I.M. Electric, Inc. in West Palm Beach in 2005, each generation has helped build upon the one before it.

Greg’s story is not simply about becoming a third-generation electrician. It’s about growing up with a trade, learning from family, developing a passion for the work, and ultimately having the opportunity to build a company of his own.

Three generations. Decades of experience. One family tradition.

That tradition is I.M. Electric, Inc.
